Casa Thornton Pet Policy

At Casa Thornton, we welcome pets as part of our community, while ensuring the safety, comfort, and cleanliness of our building for all residents. To maintain a harmonious living environment, the following guidelines apply:

1. Pet Types and Limits

Only domesticated dogs and cats are allowed.

Maximum of two pets per unit.

Exotic animals, reptiles, or livestock are not permitted.

2. Breed and Size Restrictions

Aggressive breeds, including but not limited to Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Dobermans, and Chows, are not allowed.

Dogs must not exceed 50 pounds fully grown.

3. Vaccinations and Licensing

All pets must be current on vaccinations and licensed per Houston city requirements.

Proof of vaccinations and licensing is required prior to move-in and upon renewal.

4. Pet Conduct and Supervision

Pets must be supervised and kept on a leash or in a carrier while in common areas.

Tenants are responsible for cleaning up after their pets immediately.

Excessive noise or aggressive behavior is grounds for pet removal.

5. Common Areas

Designated pet relief areas are provided for outdoor use.

6. Enforcement

Violation of the pet policy may result in fines, removal of the pet, or lease termination.

Residents must notify management if a pet exhibits aggressive behavior or causes damage.

7. Service Animals

Service animals are allowed in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Documentation may be required.
